News from Singapore: Website Goes Live and Logistics Infrastructure Launched

Our joint venture, Backshop Asia, which we launched together with La Marca International Pte Ltd in February this year, has reached two initial milestones. After a long period of preparation, the company's own website is live now. It is giving interested parties from the region faster and more comprehensive access to information specifically about Backshop Asia. We have also launched our own logistics infrastructure in Singapore. This step enables us to meet the growing demand for our frozen bakery products while ensuring that the cold chain is maintained to guarantee the high quality of our products.

For the commissioning of the first Backshop Asia truck, our Managing Director, Thomas Blohm, along with Christian Sommer and Patrick Meins in their roles as Managing Directors of Backshop Asia, were personally on site. They were joined by Roger Stadler, the third Managing Director of the joint venture, to maintain good relations with our business partners and to ceremoniously put the first truck into operation. This moment marks the beginning of a new era for the company in the Asian region. We are excited to see whether this first step will lead to an entire fleet that will further strengthen our presence and efficiency in Asia.

The Backshop Asia team also presented the latest frozen bakery products at SIGEP Asia, one of the region's leading food trade fairs. Christian Sommer and Patrick Meins were there in person to gauge general customer interest: “The response to our products was overwhelming. We were particularly pleased with the positive feedback from visitors about our baked goods. This opportunity has shown us that we are on the right track and that the team on site is doing an outstanding job.”
